    3 More Pictures

Here's our "Christmas Present" this year, as much has been completed so far. We are building the whole thing ourselves (my family), and started in early October by pouring the slab. Not terrible progress consider we're a busy bunch!

It'll hold 3 cars (barely), and will allow all our beauties to have some shelter. This is in addition to the attached 2 car, which at one time we thought was more than enough. :disagree: But these giant GM's are an addiction it seems!

You can see our trusty "other" wagon in the picture. Our 2001 Saturn SW-200. This car has been the workhorse of our family for almost 5 years, has approx. 300,000 kilometers on it with no major repairs. This is the 2.2L four cylinder, auto tranny. Buy one of these cars if you can find a low-mileage example. Ours has hauled and hauled and hauled my parents band gear many times a week, and transported my father to work daily for almost 4 years (2 hour round trip). We havn't even been too religious with oilchanges or undercoating (which we usually are as dad works at a garage, and my brother is an apprentice mechanic), and it doesn't miss a beat, or show any rust, even on the under-belly.

    Enough rambling. Pictures of garage:

And here's the Oldsmobile with my daily driver in the foreground:

And here's how we got our Christmas tree home last year, thanks to our 1980 Superior Sovereign Cadillac Funeral Coach! Again, Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all, as also mentioned in the beginning of this post, from snowy Oregon. So far, we currently have a "snow lasagna", about 8 inches of snow followed by a 1/4 inch of ice, followed by another inch or 2 of snow (with an expected 1-2 inches tonight, followed by another 1-2 inches tomorrow). We don't get that kind of snow here usually...I'm already sick of it, as it has been snowing on/off for the past 8 days...but we'll have a white Christmas anyhow , as we're not supposed to get above freezing until Tues or Wed (maybe...and then only to 35*F, if so)...so nothing will really melt until next Sat (when we're supposed to hit a very balmy 48*F). It will be my 3rd white Christmas ever...so I'm stoked about that.

I'm glad to hear that your RWD wagons are doing so well in the snow. Our FWD Buicks are doing well with the chains (they are requiring them in most of Portland area roads at this point). It has had me wondering about how the big wagons would do in all of this.

Here's hoping this Christmas and 2009 will find y'all and yours happy and healthy.:christmas:

:christmas:I've decided to avoid the snow by not having any.:rofl2::dancingparty:But, if we did I'm sure the 'ole Cooga would do fine since it's a bit heavier in the back than the Ranger.:D

Everyone please have a wonderful Christmas season and a prosperous and healthy new year.

I wish they would let us use tire chains here, I'd be set to go. They're illegal though.

Well, the wife went out and bought a few copies of the "Christmas with the Drifters" CD. K-Tel made it in 2003, so their site doesn't have it anymore, so she bought them at Sears. Great music! Christmas a-la-Bourbon street! Well the White Christmas song is the same as the video.

    K-Tel's Entertainment division site
    http://www.k-tel-uk.com/

This is their Cat. No: ECD3858

    Here's what's on it:
    Christmas Ain't Christmas, New Year's Ain't New Year's
    The Little Drummer Boy
    Winter Wonderland
    Little St. Nick
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
We Wish You A Merry Christmas
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
    The Christmas Song
    Please Come Home for Christmas
    Santa Claus Got The Blues
    White Christmas
    Silent Night
    O Holy Night
    Auld Lang Syne

They do the O Holy Night song with Class! Up there with Mario Lanza, Pavarroti, Mahelia Jackson and Harry Belafonte. But the ones that they jazz up, are really well done.

For $3.89? She bought extra ones for her sisters in Mexico, and sent the YouTube link. Her dad was a Drifters fan. What can I say?

Thanks Rev, it helped her get through the season a little better, what with her dad passing away in August. :thumbs2:
