Talked to the fury guy more and he is both a dick and a snake..... Didn't mention the passenger quarter was a replacement which is why you never see it in pictures. He claims he lowered in on s10 blocks and torqued the front end is what he said...... I passed on this and am going to go look at the polara in person today. He actually suggested 10% escrow to hold it if I was serious which is the best way to keep people serious so I will be taking 300 with me since I am no asshat tirekicker. Also taking some rare earth magnets and fridge to check for varying bondo if there is any to find. Gonna go over the frame and inner windows as best I can and check the seems all over and for panel to panel fitments. I know most of what to look for. With the work put into it, he sounds like he liked it but can't afford to finish it. The guy is younger than me, so I really believe it was a labor of love so we shall see. It is the 9 passenger model like I used to have with my old 80's Ford-Mercury woody wagon, so that excites me to get back to that time in my life with a vehicle. I don't really think the exterior work will be too costly in the end, but I am willing to spend a nice penny on fixing it if I have to. I also know a guy whos whole family are paint/body people, and I doubt they will charge me a lot to do the work since we are all family. I just want a second running vehicle to work on for a while and this fits the bill. My apartments even have a section of the lot where us car guys can work on our vehicles as long as they are registered/inspected. Heck we can even leave them there under a tarp as long as they are tagged. As long as the AC and the motor cranks consistently then I will be happy for a bit to use it around town for random stuff my hatchback just cant handle..... Although you would be surprised, I can fit half sheets of plywood in the back of my Yaris and close the hatch with no problems................. Was just talking to the gent and he is only selling this ride to supplement the purchase of a 70 cuda...... He said his goal with the wagon was to fix it up enough to go camping and whatnot in it and has done so. This encourages me even more that this ride is pretty solid and that may simply be some really classy patina instead of a problem area. I love knowing I will help someone else buy the car I always wanted too. Those 70 cudas are a BEAST.

threw down the deposit so it is as good as sold! The rust you see is TOTAL patina with no pitting. No bondo whatsoever. Matching engine that is a little rough but not too shaby. He also has a 440 lying around to chuck in it later for a project. He had 4 other mopars and works on his rides. All the windows still worked and the rear one had no rot inside. He was super nice and upfront showing me the passenger front floor pan would need replacing, but that was from the condenser dripping for decades. the driver side needs a small patch but nothing major. No other rust spots and I ran different magnets and found no bondo patches. At 3k, it is a little rough, but overall was FANTASTIC find.

That's cool, but you know the deal. We will need extremely detailed pics now as payment for lousy comments.
    :)

Excited for you. Whenever I see someone land a sweet deal on here I feel like it landed for me too. Always happy and always a tad jealous. I want every car.
