oh wow dude i did,nt even think of that,,,,thats cool too,,,and your car has the electric window release ?? i dont know the actual production figures,, not that it really matters to me anyways,, but it seems that it was a somewhat uncommon option,,,,of the three g-body wagons i,ve had only one has had it and over the past few years of all the wagons in the salvadge yard i,ve come across i,ve only ran into a couple that had it on the car,,,,the only difference between my maliboo and the cutlass is i have to use the key on the olds glove box every time cuz it automatically locks and the maliboo does,nt just a minor hassle you ,,,get in start the car and realize you wanna open the rear window,,ok fine,, shut off the car, unlock the glove box and open the door, start the car back up and press the button,,,one of those minor hassles

the cutlass came with velour split bench,, am/fm radio with four speakers,,cruise,, rear window defrost and release,, no tilt wheel and buick v-6 and woodgrain which i removed,,,,,,the maliboo came with the 267 small block vinyl interior no split bench,,cruise,,electric door locks,,tilt wheel,,two dash speakers and i,m assuming am/fm and add on air which i have removed and stashed the parts away,, and it had hubcaps instead of ralley wheels

i just removed the a/c compressor from mine last week,,,,i dont think it gets that hot up here myself,,,course my wife would differ with me on that,,,so anyways,, i nicely and neatly removed all the components on mine,,, it was an afterwards add on i dont know if it was dealer or otherwise,,,the compressor was not locked up and has oil in it,,so i got all the parts sittin in a box ,,the only thing i have not removed yet was the ducting from in the dash,,,,cuz i aint in the mood to pull the dash out yet and i need to source another heater and vent control panel that dont have the a/c switch on it,,,, plus i got my hillbilly a/c anyways,,,,one of those dash mount plug in fans that came out of one of the peterbuilts at work :tiphat:

    Very clean!

The Malibu wagons of the early 80s were well-styled and I like the cooled-out color scheme of yours. Things like the rear bumper look so different body color as opposed to chrome. Are you planning to leave the window trim bright or go body-color like the DV rendering?...or maybe black to disappear with the tint?
