I'd be glad to help if I have what you need. A couple of my trim pieces had scrapes but could be made right again. The fake wood veneer on the trim has faded off of course but usable. I'd hate to ship a bumper but trim wouldn't be a problem. Let me know what you need and I'll tell you what its like.

I like the second rendering the best, as it flows. I wouldn't do the pillars however, as the stripe angle would determine where the wood starts/stops, and that would be halfway up that pillar.

I'm going with the backslash after some deeper thoughts :)

Still a computer generated design [the actual wood veneer is cut just as depicted] but I'm still looking for the correct color stripes to get rolling on the actual layout.

i think i like the orange arrown on the drivers side back door flipping to the rear. when its angled as it is it looks jumbled. just my two pesos mang.

I cleaned that last photo up a little and it's refreshed now to reflect that.

I misunderstood StripperSS when he said "I like the second rendering the best" as to mean the 2nd rendering [backslash] and value his [and others] opinions.

I liked the 1st but felt it needed to follow the angle of the rear door pillar [backslash] and I wanted the forward part of the stripe to end/begin at the front wheel opening, not into the upper fender.

Sarge ~ I appreciate the input but it's already cut for the backslash as above and there's no changing it now or the design would interfere with the rear door handle.

I like it either way myself, in fact I like the backslash more and hope it turns out good. Maybe add a heartbeat type design ~

    Thanks!

    Hmmmmm, not sure if I understand what you mean exactly but the drivers side is already done. It looks just like this rendering;

I just got done and it's dark/close quarters in the shop but I'll get some photos tomorrow. I went with painted on stripes so it was a lot of prep, laying out the stripe, masking, etc... AFTER I got the front door handle area and below the gas lid area painted white [covering the ugly brown underspray where to wood veneer was removed].

The stripe turned out a bit too narrow IMO and not the color/contrast I was going for but...... oh well.

I sold the SS rims/tires so it's got the factory Buick wheels back on it which doesn't set it off like they did but I didn't want what everyone else has and had a buyer. I've got a pair of Boyd's Dragster wheels that I really like and I'm looking for 2 more.

    Photos soon!

    Woody trim pieces

In my small town there are about 15 Roadies wandering around. One of the ladies who rocks one needs some of that woodie trim. Send me you phone number, because it looks like we won't be able to find all the parts locally. Thanks a bunch

Sam, if I can help I'd be glad to. I have the drivers side trim off and available [except for the rear quarter and rear door pieces which I shortened up & retained]. I haven't gotten to the passenger side yet.

I did take a photo today. Ignore the camera date, my camera broke so I bought a new one and I haven't figured out how to change the date.

Photo taken today ~ actual no digital enhancements :camera:
