Didn't the last Pope say the same thing? I need to find that old book and reread it. I remember the pages were so brittle many were loose. And I'm thinking there were some notes scribbled here and there. I'll bet ole auntie got it at a yard sale or flea market in Illinois. Anyway, sorry for stealing the thread.
Yes, we all take over a thread and I'm as guilty when it comes to a 'fun' post/thread, but we are talking about some thing tragic here ....................... even if I made a spelling mistake that had nothing to do with religion, drugs, creeps.
I agree. We got off track when this is serious. Sadly it will affect many people. Since I don't have TV I don't know the latest info.
The first responders, the ones who tore in to do what they could not knowing what they were getting themselves in for but doing whatever they could to save lives and their town, died. To me, these are hero's, not some sports player who is being payed bazzillions of dollars and then people call them a hero. Not a chance. The hero's are the ones who have put their lives on the line for others. To these folks, their families and friends, and their equivalents in each of our communities around the world, we owe so much. It is too bad that they only usually get truly recognized when some of them die in the line of a duty they've taken on for the rest of our benefits. I can't imagine what their families are going through, but I can keep them in my prayers. Time heals many things, but I think these kinds of situations leave lifetime scars. How sad.
If we got off topic every time Tedy made a spelling mistake, we'd never get very far in a discussion. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
This is still a very tragic event. And on the heels of the bombing in Boston. Difinite remembers on how quickly things can change. Life is so precious please stay safe guys.
