Gee. This seller forgot to mention the little fact that the car was rolled! Maybe he thinks no one will notice.:rofl2:

Maybe the thinking was the original one owner, rust free with fairly new tires and only 31,312 miles description would offset any obvious body damage.

:drink::rofl2: Unless the damage is fresh it looked like it lived a hard a hard 31,000 mile life.

I just thought it kind of funny the seller seemed to feel $1,200 was a reasonable price for it......

Mike, remember, you have a passel of kids, some of whom are coming close to driving age. That 85 would be a GREAT project to work on with them to teach them to appreciate the specialness of that particular little car, plus it will be a reasonable cost to insure it. I'm thinking that it would make a worthy addition to your driveway. It is even the right colour scheme! Go for it!

Let's hope the couch is comfortable! That's where you'll be sleeping soon! :yup:

Mike, I've taken the liberty of rewriting the lyrics of a fitting song...

By the time I get to Albuquerque she'll be rising

She'll find the note I've left hangin' on the door

And she'll laugh when she reads the part about the X11

Until she notices the tow dolly missing from the garage floor

By the time I leave Albuquerque she'll be packin'

She'll take a break from burning my clothes to give me a call

But my iphone needs a charge and my eyes are in my rear-view mirror

    I'm in heaven, my '85 X11

By the time I get back to Round Rock she'll be fumin'

She glare at me and call me a name I won't repeat

And she'll cry to think I'd really drag another ugly car home

'Cuz time and time she's told me "Oh HELL NO!"

    Oh, she just didn't know

    I would really go

    I would really go

Thank ya, thank ya very much! :tiphat:
    David :rofl2:

I thinketh Wix has pretty much put it all in to perspective.

NOW, if you had a place to "hide" it until a more approachable time came along like when one of the kids (as mentioned earlier by one of our fellow astute SWF members) needs a vehicle, well then, go get it, tuck it away, and every now and then sneak out and check it out.

Of course watching it get used up by a youngster without the same level of affection you have for the style of car might be awful hard to take.

Back to Glen, urr, I mean Wix.......
