And I ONLY talk to strangers, since it is the 'normal' ones that will get you!

Actually we have swum. swimmed, swam, gathered in the water, on both sides of Lake Michigan pretty much all around it. But the water is almost always like pre-ice until August when it starts to cool off!
Grab your rubber ducky float and we'll meet you at Illinois Beach State park.

    Call me crazy...

But I don't want to focus on that. I got the craziest idea in my head. Although we have a couple of places to look at there is still no guaruntee that we will get one of them. We have until the first to find somewhere, or something, to live in and that includes our cats. I can't talk to Zoe about this because she's taking a nap right now. But if we can't get a place soon we're on the streets. If we go to the sidewalk then we lose our cats. Zoe and I can't have kids. One of our cats is a rescue, the other three came from her. We held them in our hands as they took their first breaths. They're all we got. I was thinking about getting a car. Zoe would have somewhere to sleep during the day, the cats would be safe and with us. I know Chicago pretty well now and have a decent idea of how to drive. I did pretty dam well driving an F150 pulling a trailer. Plus there are a lot of job options for me that would open up if I had a car to use. Yes I know gas is nit cheap by any means but if it means my family is safe and together and job opportunities... It will have to be a real beater or something that the seller would would be willing to take payments on, and of course a wagon is the ideal, but I'd take a van too. Now, this is only a last resort option that I thought of but haven't had a chance to talk to Zoe about yet. I'm willing to do this when we have exhausted all other housing options. We have a little $ left to work with but not a lot, so... I'm just saying this to see what you guys think. I'd rather be in a car then on the corner. We got until May 1st. What do you think.
