    Hello, im new here! just wanted to intorduce myself! for those of you who want to know my car its a 1984 oldsmobile custom cruiser station wagon with over 243,000 miles on it. its in fairly good condition which i hope to change. and i do remeber climbing into it to take family vacations because we still do! we use it to go to NC and i use it as my everyday driver.:thumbs2:

    thanks.this wagon may not be broken in by milage,but its a high school teenagers everyday car (to and from school and the water gun getaway car).lol. you said theres alot of oldsmobile owners with alot of knowledge, does anyone know where i can obtain a drivers side grille? it got taken out by a semis wheel when we were following it.

    thanks! my grandparents bought it in 84 and ran it in cap cod! in 98 my parents got it and my mom ran it for a few years. and now i have it. we still run it on trips to NC and down to alabama for the Nascar races. most reliable car i have ever seen!

    Nice to see ya 'keep it in the family' I Hope mine's still alive and kicking to pass on to the next generation someday. I'm even more impressed that with that many miles it hasn't been retired to a town-runner. I can't beleive you're still making out of state trips with it. Have you ever rebuilt the engine or trans? Have they been swapped, or is this just a pure, never torn apart ride?

    actually it has had to have its transmission rebuilt once. my dad took the whole throttle system apart to try and fix the 2nd gear. it revs up to far before jumping to 3rd. when doing so he left the cable to tell the transmission when we were coasting. after fooling around in the rain many times and going out of state with it, about a year later it cooked the transmission. other than that its all stock. we just keep up with the nessesary matinance.:dancing:
