OK...another great excursion by you, Mike.....but.....I gotta ask....how many more trips to the junk yard and getting back late for work until you get fired??
81 youve done it again thanks :2_thumbs_up_-_anima , by the way V8 Supercar series started today in south australia and i belive will be in Dallas in early May
Wow. I want to round up all the scrappers in and around Belton and give them a belting. Such a shame to have such nice cars end up in the yard. The black '69 Chevy and that white Catalina are two examples of why. I can't believe they put the dirty little Monarch up front but cut up and let people pick over the other rare and clean cars.
Same way with the yards out west here too....just yesterday seen a 63-64 Riviera up on the spike that they use to drain all the fluids out. Now granted, it was pretty beat, but I imagine it could have had some decent body panels or trim left on it. Scrap metal place too, so by Monday morning it'll be flattened. I got dib's on the Monaco 500...............
Too bad most of these super parts will never see the road again saving another vehicle. I would image only a slight amount of parts will be pulled from these cars before their demise.
It's ironic that you mention The French Connection, referring to the LeMans, but just after showing a brown Mark III, pretty much identical to the drug car cut apart. David
That LeMans sedan is in PRISTINE shape compared to many 10 year old vehicles here! I would love that one! Still say, though, my favorite of that generation is the Luxury LeMans 4 door hardtop. It was the only 4 door hardtop available in the mid-sized line, and it looks sweet, especially with the fender skirts.
How ironic that there would be two cars sitting together in the end in a yard with visual ties to the French connection movie. Sounds like an episode of Outer Limits to me.
holy!!!....thats a freekin cool wrecker !! I luv those early Valiants !...and a 389 just sitting in a wrecker??? thanx 81...again
