WOW....look at this stuff! This was sent to me in an email from Cyber-Wizard! http://www.youtube.com/embed/IPM8OR6W6WE?feature
Damn ! That stuff's good. But, the funnel thing. Does it stay on the funnel, or get in the oil when we pour it in the engine? Is this going to be in Car wax pretty soon?
Hiya Tara! Long time no see! Pretty amazing stuff....Cyber-Wizard is always finding cool stuff. Probably WILL go in car wax....if they can get the wax to stick to it!
Seeing how dirt was repelled from it, this would be the cats @zz to spray on the frame and floors of your car. But like any water proofing..... how long does it last and whats the co$t?
Saw this on the Garage Journal forum some months back....... There were comments that right now the stuff is pretty expensive - like $25 or so for a few ounces. Also, it wears off after a while. That funnel was only half coated with the stuff. That's why you saw the paint sticking on the right side.
Frame and floors Heck, I'll spray it on my body. I'll never get dirty and probably never get a cold again. If that doesn't work, at least my hair will stay dry in the rain.
Yeah....I was just going to post that I bet it's expensive. I was thinking that Tedy had a great idea to coat the undersides of cars to protect from salt damage. Then....I got to thinking that it's likely an expensive product.
I think I'll pass on this product for awhile. I'll bet in a few years with good marketing, it will become cost effective..... then some one with a new and improved version will come along @ $25 a ounce
I was thinking more like garage floors, if it isn't slippery. Wonder if it holds up to HOT things, like oil and water?
At almost 500$ for two one gallon cans... Me thinks I will pass for now.... http://www.spill911.com/ultra-ever-dry-top-coat-1-gallon.html 314$ http://www.spill911.com/ultra-ever-dry-bottom-coat-1-gallon.html 169$ ,
You have to admit, it appears to be a very awesome product, but you have a very valid question. several years back there were Teflon based coatings for floors etc..... water beaded on them but became ice rinks. Yikes... that is expensive. if there was some proof to how long one application will last, it could be worth it.....and is it a death walk with droplets of water, oil, etc on it? I'm still interested in the product, just needs more fine print detail....and then there is the cost.
