Just bought my first station wagon. It's a 68 Dodge Polara. I can't wait to get it back on the road. I'm hoping you guys can help me out when I have questions.

:Welcome: Not trying to pick on just you, but seems like new members are not reading the information about first writing an introduction in the WELCOME WAGON. At least you sort of started telling us about yourself
I am only a member here but feel everyone should introduce themselves, telling about their wagons, other cars, and themselves, then go to another topic to ask about parts and problems.
I just signed in and already the first two new members started out asking about repairs or parts. You guys have the rest of your lives to ask questions and hopefully get some good advice.
Thank you. I will step down off my soap box now.:yahoo:

So here's some more info on me:
I'm a mechanical engineer whose been restoring old mopars for eight years now. My first project, a 68 superbee is the only car project I still have. All the others have found new homes along the way after being completed. My two projects right now are a 70 cuda and the 68 polara wagon I just bought. I'm honestly more excited to get the wagon done than the cuda, go figure. I need to get this wagon running, driving, and tagged since its in the driveway and I don't want any fines from the city. I'm hoping you guys can help. I have a ton of mopar parts and mopar knowledge, just nothing station wagon specific.

    :Welcome: aboard!
Post up some pics of your Polara wagon. It wouldn't be a hardtop model, would it?

    Jack

Here she is. The field where I found her, and home in the driveway.

:Welcome:again 68polara. Sorry I came on so strong. Just got back from an eye doctor and I wasn't in a good mood. But it got a nice introduction out of you. I like that wagon.
There might be a few Mopar members on here. But they are shy!:rofl2:

Welcome aboard! Love that wagon - that roof rack looks like a ladder mounted up there - it's huge! (that's what she said!).

That Polara looks pretty solid...what does it need to be roadworthy?

Welcome to the nuthouse! I have a feeling you will fit in perfectly! Just so you know we seem to be short of cashews. LOL Great intro. I'm sure that where there are questions about the old Mopars, you will be called on for advice. Feel free to chime in.

Love the Polara, too. Looks like you have a good solid base for a great wagon resto! What are the plans? To keep her stock, or to upgrade for modern driving? Don't forget pics of your other cars; new, old, wagon or not all are welcome! Oh, that that Coronet 500 sedan beside the wagon looks like it would be a GREAT sedan to have in the driveway beside the Polara! What a great car that one could be.

Welcome, I love the c-body Mopar wagons, Got big or small block? I had a 68 Polara 4 dr with a 318 2bbl -ran great actually was quite peppy for such a big car and smallish engine. Chrysler really knew how to make a good running car for the masses-got good mpg considering also...
