Hey Guys my name is David Ramirez. I just bought a 1980 Chevy Malibu base model which is my baby. Im currently working on it and Im having trouble finding the header panel assembly if anyone could help me out id appreciate it. I love all cars Domestics and imports except for some euros cause they are just pain in the ass to work on lmao :D. Im planning on dropping a 383 stoker in the car with a turbo 350 or a camaro/corvette trans.

Welcome to the nut house. Sounds like you have a sweet ride there! When you can, post pictures. I'm sure that someone around here will come up with ideas for you as to where you can find that header. The good news is that the front clip is interchangeable between all the body styles. I believe, too, that the header itself is good for more than one year, too, with just the grill texture being different. Don't forget to put up some pictures. We do love your station wagon porn around here!

Somewhere in there, the Malibu went to a 4 headlamp system. The header would be different because of that. If you wanted to change to the 4 lamp front, check a Hollanders' manual for the front fenders. If they interchange, then the header will be a simple bolt on. If not, you would need to change the front clip.

    :Welcome: aboard David!
The '80-'81 header panels are pretty much the same. Of course the grilles and headlamp doors are different. I also heard that one of the grille mounting holes might be in a different position, but can be drilled out.
I'll find out. I'm putting an '81 header panel on my '79 Malibu wagon.
'78-'79 header panels are the same. '82 and up are 4 headlamp systems.
    They all interchange.
Post some pics of your new ride when you get a chance.

    Jack:)
