I just went down stairs and got our emergency Rubber Maid tote with our stuff in it...crank radio, butane and stove, candles, batteries, flash lights...etc. I'll fill up a couple of jugs of water and put them in the freezer. The only thing I didn't pick up, that I usually do, is an emergency chicken. How about you, are you ready? Is it snowing there yet? I'm just glad I don't have to work this weekend.
Don't forget the gravy.......... and I have not looked...you guys have some scary stuff comming at you?
....an emergency chicken. Is that a chicken trained to handle emergencies? Where can I get one of those? I would think they would be really hard to train.
 I have been thru tornado warnings, hurricane warnings, winter storm watches, heavy wind and rain, freezing rain and fire warnings, flash flood alerts, among actual tornados and hurricanes. Stocked up on water, food, and many other things. But never ever have we collected an emergency chicken. Good luck whatever you have coming. It's been in the upper 70's and sunny here.
Should be interesting to hear about your blizzards! Great tip with the Chicken btw! We had about three feet snow this week, and now its getting a little colder, so i hope i have time to get me one of those tomorrow. We´ll have more snow next week Pics would be fun too!
the wife is off this weekend as well. You have the e-chicken, but i have a dozen hard boiled eggs! Got the tub full of h2o to flush if we lose power. candles flashlights six pack of muffins 24 of bottled water . Gas for the snowblower vans parked so its easier to clean the drive. Only concern is heat if the power is off but that's what blankets are for. When i picked Judi up at work at 5:00 (sobeys) it was like christmas busy But we are settled in and let it snow!
