As i cruise around the web looking for new wheels for the Buick, i see that a lot of sellers assure that they dont sell cheap chinawheels.. Wheels are dirty expensive in sweden, and i would love some cheap wheels, from china or whereever.. Googling for chinese wheels dont work if i dont want to buy 200 units or more.. Anyone here that knows where to look? A Cragar supreme wheel from summit racing will cost the double amount at home in sweden....
I'm confused. You are actually having trouble finding cheap crap made in China? Have you tried ebay? What kind of wheels are you looking for? There doesn't seem to be a shortage of cheap knock-off wheels floating around.
What size of wheels are you looking for? Also, beware of the cheap Chinese wheels. The run out can wear out your tires and your suspension VERY quickly on them. Quality control is the biggest difference. That and the metallurgy. Good wheels are worth the investment. Even if you have to compromise on the timing, better to save up and get the good ones the first time around, rather than taking a chance on a bum wheel falling apart on you. That can cost you your wagon, and in a worst case scenario, your life.
All the wheels i found on Ebay is about 200-400$ a piece.. I want som kind of classic chrome wheels. 15x8 prefferably with reversed offset. Think Cragar s/s , Astro supremes or Shelbys.
LOLO...holy crap ...how are ya? now...as for cheap chromie 5 spokes? there isnt too much out there pal !! and 15x8 will probabaly be too wide...depending on tires...think more about 15x7 reverse...tops !! even the 'cheap' Supremes arent cheap the Cragar SS's are probably the best quality for the buck nowadays but check these guys just for poops and giggles http://www.alliedwheel.com/wheels.php?cat=Classics
I would check out the American Racing wheels. They make some neat looking 'retro' styles in steel that are not that expensive. 15X7 are under $150, at last look.
You are so right ! I went looking for US-Wheels, and found on Ebay for 136 dollar each. 15x7, reversed.. But HOLY! The shipping was horrible. Shipping + tax was double the price of the rims, so i will have to find someone who will take them in a container for me.. I have a couple of friends who ship stuff from US a couple of times a year.. My budget wont take that kind of punishment..
So.........? Tell me 2low........is the import duty cheeper on any particular country's goods than the USA there in Sweden?
Naaw... All non EU (european union) countries are heavily taxed. We have tolltax at 12% plus a salestax at 25% on top of everything, so the best thing to do is to get a full container that doesent declare for everything. Almost everyone buy two cars, and maybe a boat and declare for them, and load a lot of small parts on top of them.. Then everyone can split the taxes for the big items in the can. In the past, people could take a chance and didnt declare for anything and get away with it, but now you have to do it semi legal, or else the swedish irs and toll will be at place to inspect when it is opened..
