Hi, Just found this forum on the www. Looks great! I'm an owner of 2 breaks: a '71 Citroën DS21 break and a '64 Panhard 17 break. Yes, both french, but I live in the Netherlands, near the German border. Some pictures: I like motorbikes too, and own 2 BMW R100's. Nice to meet you, DriverD.
Thanks guys! Some pictures: Picture with a caravan. Must be a real job to tow a trailer with a 850cc engine! With one of the few other Panhard breaks left:
Welcome to the nut house! You are just crazy enough to fit right in! I have a feeling you will enjoy the restoration thread by Breakus. He is restoring one of those beautiful Panhard PL17 Breaks. Quite the wonderful job, too. That Citroen is also quite something special! Nice to see these great old wagons being used as intended, too! It must take some doing to keep both those cars in such lovely condition! Have fun, and for sure, join in the discussions. When it comes to the European wagons, we seem to have a dearth of experience with the brands that never made it to North America in significant numbers. Of course, in the case of the Panhard, there were never significant numbers of them anywhere!
Thanks for all the nice posts! I already found the posts from Breakus. He is a real Panhard-fan and he's doing a magnificent job on his Panhard 17 break, as far as I'm concerned...
