    With the V-8 muscle cars in hibernation for the winter, and my Belvedere wagon still in storage in Massachusettes, I decided to use part of the Amazon gift card, my brother and his wife gave me for Christmas, to buy a "Soundracer V-8" for the VW Passatt wagon. Its $39 on Amazon. I plugged it into the cigarette lighter socket, turned up the volume on the stereo, and now the Passatt wagon sounds like a monster truck!!! Took my 90+ year old Mom to dinner tonight and she kept looking around. She finally asked, "who's making all that noise?" I pulled the "Soundracer V-8" out of the socket and showed it to her. She was laughing at me all the way home. It really does make you want to drive the p**s out of the car. Here's the Youtube video that made me want one of these things. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9XAC-BvUyo

    That's hilarious. Reminds me of a time I was talking to my Dad on the phone, while driving my Magnum (5.7L Hemi with Flowmaster 40s). I had to punch it to merge onto the interstate. His response.... "Are you at the races?"

    I need one, my car has an exhaust leak until it warms up and that would cover the noise well. :)
    Nothing new though, way back in the day I used clothes pins and baseball cards on my bicycle spokes for the cool motor sound then upgraded to a V-rroom! after delivering about a zillion newspapers to earn the cash to buy it.
    I was the coolest. :cool::rolleyes:

    The video is hysterical mostly because of how much fun that guy is having.
    The sound is actually a bit lame and REALLY accentuates how sloppy that Kia slushbox is.
    Good for a laugh I suppose, hell BMW's current ///M cars use similar technology and those buyers ain't laughing when they find out.
