Welcome to the site Pete, I'm kinda new here also. Bunch of great people. Alot of fun- Love your wagon- and your other cars!!
One of these days I have to get a chance to drive a three on the tree as I don't think one can say that their automotive education is complete until one has done so. mike P.S. I just can't get over how beautiful she is.
It is what I expected although I have discovered a few other minor problems since getting it home I am pleased with it an look forward to the project of making it like new again. And you are right Mike the "three on the tree" is a big part of the cars appeal. It is a blast to drive and with the 3.89 rear it really steps out. Pete
Dennis and Saf, I love your cars. You NEVER see anything like that on the road anymore. They both represent the late 50's early 60's to a tee. Pete
Thank you. We love our '57. Have had it 32 years. It was a total when we got it and we've hauled everything from race cars to many different travel trailers behind it over the years so it has evolved a great deal along the way. Sure is fun to drive, brings back so many memories of riding in wagons as a child, and then the memories we've had in it over the years and thousands of miles. Some years it sees 7 to 10k miles, others just a couple of thousand. It is my wife's preferred driver instead of her Chevelle.
Great looking wagon, Pete! Congratulations on your ownership of it....... if that makes any sence...........hehe............
