Hello everybody, My name is jérôme, i'm leaving in switzerland in the french talking part of it. I have a family with 3 childrens who are growing, growing, growing...I'm a Panhard Enthousiast and my pleasure is to drive my cars every day and going on holiday with them. Theses days i'm finishing the restoration of my Panhard PL17 break . Maybe I could send pictures of it if I could find the way to do it! So I wisch you a nice day to all Bye Jérôme PS: sorry for my English i can't do it better...
For those (like me) who are wondering what in the hell a Panhard is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panhard_PL_17 Definitely a different looking car for us in the US ....
Welcome, Jerome. Sorry I can't put the accent in your name, but the English keyboard on my computer doesn't allow for that. Don't worry about your English. It is just fine and dandy. Better than some of our 'English' speaking brethren. There is a link, in one of the general threads, about how to post pictures. We would all love to see pictures of the Panhard. Not many of them floating around on here, and something new and different is always great! Enjoy yourself. Don't ever be afraid to chime in on the threads. We'd love to hear a different perspective, and let's face it, on an American-centric web site, someone with a passion for Panhards is definitely different!
re-hello everybody, et bonjour aux francophones! Thank you for your responses, Panhard was quite different cars even in Europe. Philosophie of the firm was always "doing the best with few..." has you can see with Xenon wikipédia link. I'm going to open an new thread about my PL17 Wagon! Bye Jérôme
to the station wagon family. I and others understand you very well. We all speak "Station Wagon" here. Please put up some photos of your wagon. At first I thought it was a Panhead---Old Harley. But what do I know?
Hi! Thank you all for welcoming me! that's great, i'm going to train my english with you! I should speak and write much better english because my wife was born in the United states and spend 7 years in Canada, Quebec (in an english school) she speaks english as mother tong but don't have any interrest on cars.... That's life! See you Jérôme Mike, D'ont worry about accent on my name it's not important!
Jerome, really glad you found us. Is your Panhead a wagon...did I miss that above? Not Breakus's car...just a pic.
If my (somewhat cockeyed) memory serves, the Panhard engineers are the people who came up with the Panhard rod used on many cars. Not even some mechanics are familiar with the term, since they don't see to use Panhard rods on newer cars, although we have 2 in the family that have them.
