    Please pardon this luddite...

My apologies...I'm not much of a blogger, poster, what have you. As I'm sorry to put the Gran Torino on the market, I did spend a few moments on the internet trying to find folks that would appreciate the body style of a wagon coupled with the rep of what was left of a dieing breed of muscle cars. I couldn't find a good spot in the Station Wagon Forum to announce I have this for sale, so I latched on to this 'thread' since the title was appropriate. I'm really not very interested in creating new threads, nor do I have much more to say about the car. I'd love to sell it to someone who loves station wagons - a unique machine like this deserves to go a good home. It makes me nervous to just look at it at the risk that I might age it somehow. I own several classic cars, but this thing is so perfect it's more than I bargained for. Again, my apologies for not following protocol. If you'd like to send me advice on how to market it, please do so. It's currently on craigslist, Classi Auto Trader, and one or two other sites similar to this. But I'm really not the blogging type. Here's a link to a site that still has numerous photos of it. The owners turned it over to these folks right before I purchased it in 2007.

Anymore big engine, high option wagons out there? Preferably 61-76.
How about chryslers or mercurys, don't see many of those.

Dan: When I was in high school, one of my friend's moms had one of these, but hers was a 75. Thing was amazing, and like yours, when she ordered it, I swear that woman said nothing but YES to the options that were available! Aside from the 460, the power everything, and air, she also had the limited slip, and the factory tow package. I really do not think there was one she missed! Loved that car, but unfortunately, they moved out of town, so I lost track of the wagon. It is too bad you feel the need to sell yours. She's a beauty and a very rare beast as well. When the wagon bug bites again, I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for around here. Good luck. I know you will find her a great new home.

:Welcome: to the Forum. I love all wagons, but like you I prefer one that has as many cubics inches as possible. I hope you enjoy coming to this site as much as I have.

My '72 Gran Torino Squire has the 429 4V engine with a C6. Big, heavy, fuel gobbler.
