I've heard about it, but never seen it till I got one for X-Mas. Real good magazine.....if ya can find it, I guess. My honey said she saw it in Wall Mart. Lots of eye candy for all, street rod, gasser, drag, custom, and wagons! They have a magazine project car, they will be doing up a 65 Ford wagon for a daily driver. Car was purchased in Portland Oregon for $1600 and they drove it back to Nanimo BC (Vancouver Island), they have sourced some parts allwready like factory buckets, console, and some other misc items, did what was needed to make it drivable and are driving it. Rite now it has a 289 2v, C4 auto but motor plans are on the way, they say the wagon will be updated in furure ishues. EFI, disc brakes........ And a cool street rod And a really wha the were you smoke'n colour comination ordered Mopar..... All and all, a dam good magazine IMO, the P,Off is finding it in stores as i mentioned.
Tedy , great old school pages thanks for the inspiration as I have a 65 sittin in dry storage for close on 14 years .
funny Ian.... ya Ted...Terry... that owns the magazine is a chum of mine ...He's from the island and thats his 65...he also has a 57 Ford panel wagon thats done up gasser style...we did the body and paint for him... I'll try to remember to grab all the back issues and post the pics later. Its a great lil mag....and he works his butt off !! to try and compete with all the Big Guys and online freebies
Rev's right, he works his butt off. And he uses his cars. He is a car guy who is passionate about cars and IIRC his father was into drag racing with a '57 Ford Panel wagon, which Terry has mostly replicated. A good mag, the little guys need our support. They are the ones who show real cars, the stuff we have or are moving toward, and not so much the cars that are so costly to have built (versus building them ourselves like most of us are doing) that I'd have to mortgage my house to buy. Great mag with wicked content and Terry Denomme is a dude. He did a segment on my shop last Spring titled "What's in your garage?" and he's posted a few good pics of our altered in action as well. I told him that I would let him take a pass in it if he gave us a feature story. I think he drooled a bit then told me that was the best offer he has ever had but they never promise features. I'll keep hounding him.
That two tone, blue and white, wagon on the lower right corner of page 79 is sooooo badass! I love it! Slammed out old school with white walls and smoothies...oh yeah! Maybe an early 50's Plymouth?
Yup, still above ground. Been spending more time in the shop than on the 'puter though. I'll have a good update in the next month on all the happenings in our world. You can try emailing or PMing me if the phone is still vexing you. Failing that maybe telegraph or smoke signals.
