I plan on selling an 1975 Impala Wagon in the next month or so and what to see what would be a realistic asking price. This is probably one of the cleanest all original Impala Wagons in existence. Here is some info on the wagon.

I believe it is a one owner
Garage Kept / original paint (it is a blue color not sure of exact name)
    18,XXX original miles
    Interior looks like new
    9 passenger
Exterior has a few dents and dings from sitting in a garage (nothing major)
    400 ci / Turbo 400 trans
    A/C / Power Steering
Just went through the engine to make sure it is in tip top shape, basically changed all maintenance items due to age for increased reliability (new plugs, wires, fuel pump, water pump, carb rebuilt, new fuel tank, new hoses, new belts, radiator was removed and flushed out)

    Welcome aboard.

You really can't get any "what's it worth?" numbers unless you post detailed pictures and provide a much more detailed description of option content, condition and any known issues.

    Does the A/C work?
Are there any other power options, like windows, locks, seats?
    Radio? Cloth or vinyl interior?
    Headliner condition?

Where are all these dents and scratches?
What is the condition of the floors, frame, underbody/chassis components?
    You get the idea...

The car was inherited, when I find out the answers to your questions I will post back and try to get some pictures in the next few weeks. I will answer what I can right now.

I believe the wagon has power locks and power rear window.
It has a radio and Vinyl interior
The headliner is in perfect condition
The floors are all solid and the frame, underbody/chassis is extremely clean for an all original 37 year old car (I will get some pics)

    :Welcome:

    Yup....

18.XXX origonal miles?...Honestly, you are gona have to provide some seroius inside, out, up, down, under, all around pictures and information to get a serious sale, weather here, Graigs, Ebay, etc.

Don't take offence, but we have seen many a car with pics claiming low to no miles and the car's odomiter has clearly rolled over, even though it's in great shape.

It has an honest 18,XXX original miles on it. One look at the interior and the cars components and it is very easy to determine that it has had very little use. I also know the history behind the car and why it is such low mileage.

I have a 79 ford wagon with 22,000 on it save for headliner(on these it would of fallen off by now even sitting in a garage since new with 0 miles)The interior is MINT and its 122,000!

Get a straight shot of the odometer and the pedals

I have a 75 buick wagon i drive daily it has 57,000 on it the title says 157,000 because of a screw up by the notary,i know its 57,000 and can tell by the odometer and the fact that i had it COMPLETELY apart when i re-did it! Still has the factory rear brake shoes,HAD the factory shocks too!

Put it on ebay and find out, but if the miles are real and everything works I could see it reaching 10k.

It may end up on Ebay. I have had a couple local people express interest that is why I was trying to find out a realistic value. The miles are real, no doubt about it. It was my grandparents vacation car and just sat in an insulated garage 98% of the time. I just sold their daily driver which was a 1979 Impala with 80K miles. My grandparents bought this car in 1975, I still have the original window sticker. If it goes on Ebay I will take lots of detailed photos, here is one from the other day. I am starting to think it may even have the original tires.

    As to the tires.......
Good that they might be original to the wagon, but not good to use. Tires deteriorate over time. Those would be well beyond their normal life. I wouldn't feel safe with them.

The Old Cars Price Guide lists the value of a '75 Impala wagon in #3 ("car show" but not showroom) condition at about $4,200. From your description, especially those dents, this car is probably not quite at this condition level.

The very low mileage on this will add value for sure, but it's difficult to say how much. What mostly determines its value is what it is, and station wagons just don't command top dollar. Options will have some impact as well, but it's minor. Having power locks and power windows will add $50 or $100 to the value, but they're not going to make a difference in what kind of asking price you might establish if you try to sell it.

The bottom line is, it's a mid-range Chevy full-size wagon. There was lower-end Bel Air wagon that year, but there was also a higher-end Caprice wagon as well. If it were me, I'd probably start at $7,500, hope for the best, be thrilled if I end up with $5,000, but be fully prepared to see it go for $3,500.

Man what a beauty, I hope noone low riders this tank, too clean. Those tires look VERY 1975, I'd probably keep them and hang 'em on the wall if I had a garage to do so.

Seeing wagons like this just makes me want mine to be mint even more. :D

Great find man, only wish you'd consider keeping it and joining the community, if nothing else, someone on this forum may buy it. Someone on the forum would definitely buy it if it where 5-10 years older.

Either way, beautiful find man, absolutely beautiful, you just don't see wagons that nice original anymore. I wish my father hadn't used ours as a truck for so many years even more so now.

Keep it or sell it, welcome aboard the land yacht community either way.

Looks nice, I like the blue. Any progress on this yet?

A lowrider will like that this is an Impala over a Caprice, so make sure it goes to a good home where it will be preserved.

I just had a tire store tell my daughter that they wouldnt fix the rim leaks on the Suburban because they were 9 years old - even though they look new, and still have the 'nubs' showing!
    Probably B.S. - I should look myself!
