    Many thanks again, Dyna...

I do like the 65, 66, and 67 sports wagons...
One thing I'm curious about - seems like most of the wagons have the "vista" type roof glass panels. Were there wagons from the mid to late 60's that did NOT have that roof type?
I've seen a couple pics labeled as such, but I don't know if the glass roof paneled models were the only ones available from Buick at that time.

    Thanks!
    Mike

The sport wagons where the top of the line Buick intermediate station wagons. You can get the more basic models such as the Buick Special, that doesn't have the vista roof. You should know that the sport wagons has a longer wheel base too..

Thanks again Dyna! More excellent info...

I actually prefer the shorter wheelbase wagons, so it looks like I search for wagons more like the Special model...

    Regards,
    Mike

P.S. But, it does appear that not many Special wagons were made in the mid to late 60s...

Not that few but not common either.. seen quite a few with normal roof. One thing to keep in mind is that they are the lower end hence less options...

    Hmmmm...more than I thought!
Was looking only for the "Special" wagons and those had some limited production volumes.
Appears that the "two seats" version had some decent production volumes - especially in '68!

Just checked and it appears the '68 is a "Special" model. The "Special Deluxe".
It's interesting that the Sportwagons got most of the 'press' and advertising...

    Thanks,
    Mike
