Welcome to the site. Sounds like you are moving ahead like gang busters! That colour, by the way, was Ma's second choice for our 72 Dodge Dart. I believe it was called Sherwood Green on Plymouths, as your paint guy said. Dodge used a different name for the same colour, which was very common then with Mother Mopar.

JIM 68cuda, I like yours just fine, looks very original! Mine shows 22K miles but is TMU. The engine is so quiet and smooth I don't think it's 122K. Crazy how quickly it shifts too, it's in high gear at around 25-30 mph! Is yours like that?

My wagon is actually in a buddy's garage in Massacusetts. I haven't yet driven it. But I have a 318 with automatic in another car. I don't know much about transmissions, but I do remember someone making some adjustments for me years ago when it shifted into high by 15mph. Sounds like yours needs some adjustment.

Any automatic transmission I have ever driven has been in direct drive (3rd on a 3-spped or overdrive) by 20 miles an hour under light acceleration. Under full throttle, they will normally hold first until about 45 or 50 mph, and who knows how high 2cd goes. I normally back out about 75 mph at the most. If the shifts are smooth and they take place about those points, then chances are the transmission is actually working properly. If the shifts are late, that is a sign that things are badly worn or out of adjustment.

Jim 68cuda, Something I forgot to mention and you may want to keep in mind for your wagon:
I changed out the wheel studs on the drivers side from lefthand to righthand threads. You can't find chrome lugnuts for LH thread and besides it's just a pain in the a** remembering which side is what... Just FYI, Didn't want to see you get into changing a wheel and wonder WTF?
