I was puttering around down stairs last nite and I noticed feeling my feet kinda vibrating for maybe 10-15 seconds but heard no sound and nothing moved or shook. Could not have been a minute later the radio inturpted the music and anounced the quake, the warnings, and that they still did not know about damage....

It does apear that although a strong "shake", it was located in a part where little damage happened. tsunami warnings were canceled around 3AM, but our local news reported some really bigs waves crashing shore lines as far as Alaska

    Quote....
Residents as far away as Alberta and Yukon reported feeling the earthquake.

Glad you guys ended up lightly shaken, and not stirred at all! Let's hope the earth stops moving and stays that way!

We had surges in our harbor, a foot and a half, very minor as tsunamis go.

We are the Canadian California...... just waiting for the island to sink when the real big one hits. We on the island get and feel quakes now and then, I really found it od this time that I felt something but it was all it's own. Every other time we have had a ratlle over the years you can hear it coming....kinda like the sound of a rumbling train.....

Wonder if all that weight in Rev's driveway is starting to be an issue?

We were just south of the border in a WA State campground with 33 other vintage trailers celebrating halloween. Given this happened about the time the folks were going through our groups (two groups, each had a night to trick / treat the other group) "Tent Of Terror" they must have thought we had coordinated the earth movement to tie in with the guillotine, the electric chair and the Jason look-alike. I suspect though that more thought it was a result of their :drink: than anything else.

We actually did not realize that there was a real event until we got home tonight.

I sorta figured you were galavantin around with that trailer trash again. Sometimes it pays to be unsteady on your feet. Glad everyone there is and was safe.
It might be a good idea to put me on your will for that old Safari wagon soon. Not that I want anything spooky happening to you. But we should keep it in the family.(y)
    Welcome home.
