Not really, Kid was watching Nemo and it popped in my head as I was typing.

    Hi, Names Reggie Miller

Sorry not of the Basketball fame, but i have heard all the jokes, but dont mind hearing them again.

Currently hanging out in Northern California. Vacaville to be exact.

Looked for and found my Mid-Life project. Felt I needed to do a Hooligan project before I got to Old. Searched around and tossed around a few ideas.

Finally settled on a Wagon. Felt it was Cool, Unique, and I wanted something different.

    Which wagon to get?
    Lots of choices.
Finally settled on a '70 Chevelle 4 door wagon.

    img_0532.jpg

Did that for a couple of reasons. First the guy with the '63 Nova II didn't answer my email. and Second to get back in a Chevelle now that the family curse had been already fulfilled. ( Wife wrecked my '71 Chevelle way back in the '90s, My Mom wrecked Pop's '69 back in the '70s) Feel sorry for my kids, lol.

Not much for Picture taking but i have a few pics from the Ad.

So far I havent changed much. Lots of parts in the garage, just trying to take my time.

    Things in the Garage:
    Front Disk brake kit
    2.5" dual exhaust kit
Various motor parts for 327 swap
327 In machine shop, due Wednesday.

    Left to order:
    upper and lower control arms
    Poly bushings all around
    Rear control arms
    Upgrade rear end
    Rear Disks
6 Speed ( wife cant drive a stick)

    Couple things I have learned
Parts are hard to find LOL
And the rear crank and rear window parts are the same thing you can find in late 70's Blazers and Suburbans.

I'll be posting in the " HELP NEED PARTS" forum later.

Things I know now that i need:
    Rear window trims
Rear back interior panels, the big one on the driver side, and the 3rd piece on the passenger side. For some reason a previous owner thought it a good idea to hack the living daylights out of the corners by the rear seat. And I mean hack.
Driver side rear trim panel, the one that goes by the rear door next to the seat, casualty of the hack.

I love forum boards, I find the good ones offer a lot of Information and a variety of good people. I usually get on for an hour or two after i get all the kids to bed ( there are 4, Im a glutton for punishment. But figure I'll have lots of retirement options)
I frequent just a few boards as I usually stick to the ones that offer good company and good advice. the ones i run thru: CalGuns, UltimateYota, Jesses Hunting. Those should tell you lots as to my other vises.

Want to thank in advance all those that help make this a pretty decent place to hang out.

    Have a Good One.

    Reggie

Yeah... A couple of us are okay. You will learn about the cranky old Canadiens soon enough.

It sounds like you have a good project and plan.

    Welcome to the forum, Reggie!
I'm looking for a wagon myself and had seen that one on CL (around Sacto IIRC...?) Seemed like a pretty good value for the money, but a bit more of a project than I wanted. Glad someone is going to get her going and lookin' good!

Please feel free to jump in with our discussions.

I have spent alot of time in Canada working. I'm sure I'll manage, know all about the Hooters and Poutine. Lol

    I'll check them out.
I'm not totally Bow Tie anymore. Have mellowed in my old age.
I have an 87 F350 to move things around. And bought the wife an 01 F150 supercrew to move the clan around this year.

You obviously have not seen my Garage. Lol
The wagon drives now. the 307 in it is a bit shot, and for some reason I'm told the open headers are a bit to loud.

Thats the one. Guy i got it from had it for like a month or 2.

    Me too.

    Thanks for all the Welcomes.
Just goes to prove this is a cool site.

    Reggie

    Side note.
Is there a magic way to do Sigs?
I cant seem to find the sig editor in the User CP like it is on the other sites that use the engine.

    Rev,

I was working with an Electrician programming lights in a house on the Island a many a year ago. The owner of the house was the heir of the 2nd largest pharmactical company in Canada.

At lunch time one day she asked the electrician if he was going to take me to lunch.
He said most likely yes. She said he should take me to the Hooter. He laughed and she took off to go where ever she was headed.

I asked what the Hooter was, thinking it was Hooters the chain restaurant.

    Nope, local Strip Club.

and i dont blame you on the poutine.
The girl at Burger King in Edmonton asked me if i wanted some.
Damn near choked and had to ask her to repeat that.

    Oh, gravy, no thank you.

The fun times i have had in Oh Canada.

189 Km/h all the way back to Calgary from Edmonton on the 2.
    Your guys ambulances run slow.
    Passed one.

Then theres the time i left california in shorts and a tshirt and showed up in Canada and the pilot said it was currently -25c.
Asked the lady next to me " whats that in F".
Said it didn't matter it was flippin COLD.
