After doing some asking around for old cars in the area, my friend's father told me that he had a 1965 Chevy Impala wagon that he needed to get rid of. The car had already been soda blasted, and it was incredibly filthy inside and out. I've spent several hours cleaning the inside, and now I'm working on cleaning the front end. There's no rust on the car, and only has one problem with the body. Whoever had the car in cali painted the interior black/gray, so I that needs attention. The 327 with a holley carb works and sounds great. I can't wait to fix up the breaks and take it for a quick drive down the street. http://tinypic.com/r/4utlqf/6 http://tinypic.com/r/s1joz6/6 http://tinypic.com/r/vgprvk/6 I'd say it's a pretty good buy for $1000.
Excellent find! and a great price! Good on ya James, a little TLC and you will have a sweet ride there. Welcome to the forum!
That's an excellent wagon you found there, James. Those '65 Chevys are some of the more sought-after GM wagons from the 60's. Welcome to the forum! Marshall
Had a 65 Caprice Custom Coupe same grill Love it great buy. I had it parked for a couple years and a man and his son came by.His son had another Caprice and he wanted mine for a parts car. He was16 and he and his Dad were working on it together. I told him 500 bucks and he paid me off over 6 months. He ended up fixing up my car instead.Seen that car around for awhile. They did a nice job.really shouldnt have sold it but I was impressed with this kid. After he finished he brought it by to show me.aaaaa I should have done that myself
