B5 is one of the most common blues out there. It is a rich, medium, clear blue with no undertones of anything. It is almost identical to Chrysler's True Blue from the early 70s. I would have thought finding pictures of that would be a snap. Pick almost any issue of Hemmings Muscle Car Review and you will find a Ford painted B5. About 6 months ago, again in Hemmings Muscle Car Review they did an article about unrestored muscle cars, and one of the cars was in the factory HB5, which is how I learned about the colour. It is a bit lighter than B5, with a reddish/gold undertone. Spectacular colour. I think it was a 67 or 68 Mustang that was painted the HB5. You may find it in on their website.

Oh I see. Thanks much for the input on colors. Goes a long way towards making a decision.

2 days after being stung, my part of my hand decided to swell up. So, between that excuse and a current hot weather trend, striping the ranch has been put on hold. Hope to hit it tomorrow.

Going to pull the seats next. Took a look. Ford bolts them from the bottom up!!! Oh boy. Not fun.

Hopefully you didn't spend too much time inside the interior of the mice-infested one, and took proper protection. That Hanta virus is nasty stuff.

Your absolutely right. Once I found it in there, I put on a air filtering mask.

    138-3876_img.jpg

Once I vacumned up everything I could, I sprayed the hell out of it with disinfectant. And have let it "breath" for a few days. It's too bloody hot to attack it anymore right now anyway. And I am not looking forward to jacking it up to get to the seat bolts.

Some people might find this cool.

I got two build sheets out of the Ranch Wagon. One under the carpet, and one behind a door panel.

Not really worth anything, but still cool.

I was wondering where you went, wing! Looks like a cool score! Times 2 with the parts car. Great to see you back and great that you have another wagon to love!

    Thanks!!! It has been fun.

I have been gone a week. Tomorrow morning will get the front seat out (got it loose, just need another hand), and will pull the dash.

Made a list of parts to pull and most is done. Already got interest in the frame, but I think its toast too. Will double check tomorrow morning. Funny, how just sitting in a shed for 40 years will eat the exterior metal. Must have been a dirt floor and it just sucked up the moisture.

I agree about liking the looks of the 67's. 45 years ago (within a few days) I took my drivers test on dad's work car a black 67 Country Sedan with what sounds like about the same options as yours.

Over the years the one blue I really liked was the Diamond blue of my 78 T-Bird.

    I liked that generation too.

Liked the previous also. My dad had a 75. BIG car.

    I have a 1969.

Well the stripping of the Ranch Wagon is almost complete. The car still reeks, but I'm not dead yet.

    139-3905_img.jpg

Glass and handles a few odds and ends. I will probably pull the front bumper once I take a better look at it. If its rotted, forget it, but if it will make a good core, they are always in demand. Maybe by me. Wife thinks the one on the CS is crooked. I don't know yet.

    139-3909_img.jpg

Left the back window down just in case it decided to not work one day. Will pull the glass and the motor, et all. But I think the tailgate itself is toasty too. Another closer look is in order.

Good original dash pads are like gold for a 67. Could almost sell it for what I paid for the car. Too bad I need it so much.

    139-3919_img.jpg

I went a little too far on the dash. Pulling things that probably don't need and have no value on the open market. But its fun to just keep removing screws and having good parts fall into your hands. LOL

Thursday should be the last day. Door glass and some minor parts. But I will still need to pull the cargo glass. Going to visit a couple local glass replacement places and see if they can pull them. I have no idea how, and I don't want to break them. Probably no value, but I need at least one for the CS.
