You all may have already seen this, but here is a video of a 101 year old woman from Plymouth, MI (at the time of the video she was 101, she would be 102 now) and her 1930 Packard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHwwwJ83oWo What I would like to know is: Is she the original owner? (Probably not many 20-year olds could have afforded a Packard in 1930, but it's possible!)
Thats awesome!! I would love to have a Packard, or well any car from that era in that kind of condition. Heck most now can't even afford a Packard! Oh and for Grandpas car? I'm driving it.
Driving Grandpa's car, that's awesome. Cherish that, I never even knew either of my Grandpa's....they were both gone before I was born.
Yes...that was on here long ago. Thanks for posting it again, Jim! I'm sure many have not seen that great clip. I had forgotten about it and am glad to see it again! That lady could run circles around me...gotta love that 'ol girl! She is sharp as a tack! I wish I would have had her as a friend. I love it that she puts a rag on the running board to step on while getting into the car and then pulls the rag in and tosses it on the floor for when it's exit time! Man....I would kill for that car, too! I wonder where she is now and where that car is? She may be gone and, if so, I'm sure she knew exactly where that car was going. What a neat lady.
We should all enjoy our internal combustion engines while we can ... by the time we're 101 (if we last that long) gas will probably be too expensive and we'll all be driving electric cars!
