Any one know about the production numbers on the 1990 ltd country squire lx, and does anyone know if the polarized front windshield is rare..
Polarized window glass must have been a custom option. I had polarized film on the inside of my rear quarter windows, but I've never seen it as a factory option.
You mean the tinted shaded part at the top? My Wagon has that kind, and PPG or Carlite make it. Also Mexico's Vitro make it. (Mine is from Mexico.)
If you look at the photo of the car you could see on the front windshield around the outer edges a gold strip about a 1/2 thick, that's the heated front windshield I believe. It looks like a gold pinstripe around the front windshield.
Yeah, alot of early 90s Lincolns had this glass if I recall. Not sure how rare, but there is a 1990 Country Squire LX here for sale locally for $3900 with 48K miles.
Now that would not be a Mexican windshield. Australia might have used them though, since the Ford plants made cars for Asia, Indonesia and South Africa.
No, the windshield he is talking about is the defroster windshield. It's like a rear defroster glass with no lines in it, it has a purpleish tint to it when you look at it from the front. The whole winshield is a defroster glass, turn it on and the whole windshield defogs! I don't know how else to explain it. Where have you been? These have been around for years but not too many cars came with it. Clark
Never heard of them Clark. If it was an option on Canadian cars, I never knew they existed. My wagon in Mexico had a tinted tailgate window, no defrost lines. When some kids shot it with a BB Gun, all I could get was a Defrost type here in Canada.
they were a popular Lincoln option in the 70's Mark IVs and V's but i didnt know they still had them in 1990. IM still sick over his $700 find. ive been trying to find a 1990 or 91 colony park for years.
