I finished the primer stage of the job. I think that I will block sand the car outside. Yesterday was over 90*. I would like to have all of the block sanding done before the nicer cooler temps get here. I would not want to paint in 90*-100* heat!!! Plus I have to get a BIG exhaust fan. Cause i guess bugs are attracted to the paint fumes. Every time I spray primer I seem to get a few bugs in the primer. LOL!!! No biggie on primer, you can just sand them out. But paint is a different story. More to come..
Now that I don't feel guilty I can bug you and ask what happened here? I would love to see where you are at with your project. Done sanding?
LOL!!! I tried to sand multiple times during the summer. For us it went from a nice 77* to 105* in a day and stayed hot untill September. Then it went from 105* to 70* in a day!!! So I am not sure that I will have enough time to paint this year. I have to get more primer. As I was sanding out the peel from the primer it was a tad thin in some areas and I sanded through. Oh well. Do it right the first time.. I did drive the car yesterday. I have had it a cocoon the entire summer!!! Needed to get out and dust the cobwebs off. Transmission is still dying... More to come!
