I stumbled across this forum when doing some googling of a recent incident I was involved in and thought I would join, say hi, then lurk a bit and visit and post sporadically. My wagon is a 2011 CTS-V that I got a great deal on. It was a car that I was saying I would own some day, realized how few were being made given that mine had to be a manual especially, and decided I would sell off some other things and just get one now given the deal I could get on a car optioned with all the big items as I wanted. Picture a friend took of my car CTS-V Rooftop by intriguish, on Flickr Action shot taken by a bystander at the Power Tour auto x Couple a pictures by some hack with a camera (me) I also have a 68 Torino I'm working on. It has a DOHC 4.6L and T-56 swapped in. Starts and runs but not quite finished and driveable yet.
Welcome! 4-cam, meet J barnes........ http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19585 Marshall
Welcome to the madness 4 cam! So we have at least two Caddy owners here now. Great wagons, sounds like you plan to keep it a long time.
Swell. Now I've got all this drool in my keyboard... Wanna trade for a black 25-year old, force fed Buick?
to the wagon train, 4cam. Well....you own my dream wagon so I'm already jealous! Nice car and the Tori sounds great, too!
Being a wagon forum I was avoiding saying too much about the off topic ride. But here are some pics In it's previous life with a 289, C4 and leaf springs More recent picture sitting on a Rod and Custom Motorsports Mustang II front with tubular arms and coil overs and a R&C Motorsports triangulated 4 link rear The wheels are 17 x 9's. They're heavy as hell but I love the look of steelies. Rear end is a 9 inch with a True Trac and 4.11's. Just finished plumbing the oil filter relocator and oil cooler. Need to finish the floor inside. Going to get some sheet metal here this afternoon to make a new trans tunnel as the T-56 is significantly bigger than a C4 or old school 4 speed. The engine is a Mark VIII engine with a Cobra intake that I deleted the runner control flaps in. Bought some used BBK headers for a Cobra figureing if they didn't fit I could resell them for what I had in them. They did fit though. Got a BBK H pipe with them too. Since I used a Cobra trans cross member there were no issues with the H pipe. A bunch of aprts made to fit together still do even in the wrong car.
Oh the memories. Dad had a forest green 1969 fastback with 428CJ and 4 speed. I was not old enough to drive at that time but have fond memories of the copilot seat and peering out over that wonderfully understated hood scoop with embedded turn indicators, oh, and those oh so cool hood pins. How I would love to have that one in my driveway! mike
