Welcome to the forum, Westender. Pleasure to have you here. We'd love to see some pics of that Malibu, even if it's not quite in its finished state. In fact, one suggestion - go to the 'Projects' section and start your own thread. A lot of the members here have one and find it gives them some encouragement to keep going. As to your inquiry on bagging - don't have any knowledge myself, but perhaps some one will chime in. Might be a good idea to post a question in the tech section. Marshall
, can't wait to see . I'm also interested in the bags setup you are going with. Been contemplating it for years with my '72. I see some around at car shows, wagons with airbags. I always thought they were cool. Hard to decide to do that to an original in pretty good shape. I guess i'll just have to decide...
soon as i figure out how to size my pics i will post them....lol...better with cars than computers....but still learning......spent a few hrs tonight changing the tailgate out...the original was rusted out pretty bad...got a nice replacement one that we put on tonight.....but...the alighment is off....looking at it and still trying to figure out how to get it to move to the left about a good solid 1/8"...from the look of the hinge set up ..there isnt much room for that kind of movement , un less im missing something...take a better look tomorrow....I picked up this wagon for a grand....and drove it home...there is some rust ..but not too significant..all in the quarter panels....door area...floors...everything else..very solid.....treated the trunk well today after cleaning it with por 15....tomorrow will do the brush on bedcoating (herculiner)..that will be the place for my tank and compressors....decided run a additional inline battery to help with power draw from the compressors as well as the sound system im gonna put in ...its been fun so far....looking forward to the new motor going in ...promise pics will be on the way.....more like saturday now since i have to get technical with them....lol
pics...... ok..im not sure what im doing wrong....keep trying to resize pics to make the requirements and when i hit sumbit,,,,it erases everything....what am i doing wrong ? ...ug.....
O...that wont be easy to bag...well...the backs easy...the front not so much what with the torsion bars and all....maybe Dewey has some insight. as for you Westend...look at ChassisTech....they do a bolt in for the Chevelles...much cheaper than RideTech ! just dont but CT's compressor....go with a Viair and on that note..... to the joint....and try just loading your pics straight from the Puter....it will 'thumbnail' them
thanks for the tip , been looking for a place that sells the bracketry that i need.I did get my compressors already...went with Viair 480 c duel set up....2600lb bags for all 4 corners...ordered my 5 gal tank from Fx...nice slim design will fit in the trunk well very nicely
Welcome, Westender. Working on a 70 Concours myself, been posting in Projects when I get something done. Nice to see another Concourse here. Best, Tom
