Hey! This is so funny, by me it was just the other way. I didn't knew that I had a 440 TNT, because there was no TNT air cleaner, but after some research, it wasn't a 383 2 barrel, or 440 2 barrel, so it had to be a special order, so I checked my vin# and it was a 'J' code 440 TNT with 365 HP! And behind the A/C compressor it said B 440.

    440 motor

The VIN # will help you out if you are sure its the original motor. All big block motors are stamped on the flat pad in front of the motor. It will tell you the type, year of production and "HP" will be stamped on High Performance motors. Maltese crosses and other symbols denote special valve sizes and features. Its been a while so I can't tell you what a 1970 HP motor should read. Galen Govier (probably spelled wrong) is the gurue on all things MOPAR and has written allot of good info on them. Special order motors were not uncommon in those days and you could have a rare piece. The TNT was just one of many names given to 440 motors by Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler. Hope this helps and I hope I remembered everything correctly.
