    couldn't resist these pics. met mike and his wife marsha real nice people had a nice time hanging with them . his has a ls1 in it ran 12.8's in the heat of the day

    his is a little different rev has an ls1 under the trunk . corvair as you know has the trunk in the front. neat when he has to open the trunk with the key to get to the engine

    we have a guy locally who has a corvair coupe with a built 350ci but somehow his is still in the back. well technically mid engined.

    Is that the one that is on a G-Body chassis? I think I remember looking at that at the Muskegon stop. Cool little car.

    It's like this: If I went to a car event, I would blow right past the Mustangs and Camaros to get to the wagons.
    That Corvair looks good.

    yes it is seems as though the wheelbase is just right and makes the v8 swap easy

    What helps make it easier is that the Corvair was designed to accommodate front engine applications, since the other 3 variations on the theme had front engines, with a V-8 as a factory option. Just think how easy it would be to put a Range Rover 4.2 litre V-8 (350 horse, torque out the wazoo) into an F-85 wagon. Same block as was standard equipment!

    So you're sayin' the Corvair has an LS1 in it?:yikes:

    I thought you were showing the 'Vair and the '59 that were done up like yours. Apparently the '59 is yours. OK.

    So....did you take any pics of that Corvair 'way-back' that's stuffed with motor?

    ok the corvair had the original motor in the rear . it now rides on a g body frame with a LS1 under the front trunk area . if you look at the corvair you can see the rear engine vents by the rear wheels for the original motor. the little wagon has a rollcage in it also . mine just has a gm performance 350/330 getting ready for a cam and swap over to fuel injection
