When I was a kid, I had a 1/43 scale Corgi toy of this model Cortina Squire woody wagon. It was one of my favorite Corgis.

Hard to tell from such a small picture, but to me, it looks like a Massachusetts Police vehicle. Might even be a State Police turnpike vehicle. Back then, they used large Chrysler's with big engines.

Take a closer look at the picture and you can clearly see the license plate is a Massachussettes plate. Then look at the drivers door, and you can see the Massachussettes Turnpike Authority logo. You are correct about it being green and white. For a larger picture go to http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeopzls/policecars/id11.html and scroll down till you see a larger sized picture of this exact car. The following is from that website.

    1957 Chrysler owned by the
Mass. Turnpike Authority and manned by MSP Troopers

These cruisers had 392 ci Hemis and were screamers. I know

having ridden in one. They had a top speed of 150

MPH. They were replaced by Ford Bluebird wagons in

    1968.
