    Bummer......

It's really not as bad as it looks. Appears to be all 'cosmetic; damage (although I'd check your A/C condenser and radiator for damage)
    You need:

    - Bumper cover / impact absorber (foam underneath the cover would be crushed). Bumper reinforcement might be damaged, but my guess is that it's OK
    - Fiberglas header panel and grill assembly
    - Hood and hood LATCH (important to replace the latch after any impact like this - you don't want your hood flying up in front of you on the freeway) I'd also check your RT hood hinge....
    - Rt headlamp assembly
    - RT fender looks like it's rolled a bit at the front edge - ?

Rad is good, condensor seem fine, absorber has a little damage, but it did it's job, and the impact bar is untouched. Fender is rolled a tad, hood latch holds the hood down as designed. (will replace it anyway) Right headlight is pushed in, but the header panel took the damage. Headlight will be fine with a little work, (it looks broken in the corner, but it actually isn't). Hood hinge looks fine, but I'll be getting a new one anyway. Grille is good, too! The steel mesh panel protected it. (the reason I put it on there :dancing: ) From what I can tell (I do know about this stuff, been in the business for a while now ;) ) there is nothing structurally wrong with her. And if everything goes my way, Marilyn (the car's named Marilyn hehehe) will have a completely custom face. :D

Thanks for the reply, bud. You covered everything I did. (y)

Nobody was hurt, and the plate is scuffed. Thank you for the link, but it doesn't apply in this situation. I was on a horribly designed on/off ramp combo that they built a long time ago, and didn't plan for traffic's increase through the years. There were three of us merging onto the interstate, and we were all moving, so I look behind me to check traffic so I can merge too, look front adn they were stopped. the guy in front pussied out and slammed on his brakes instead of merging, the lady behind him stopped, but I didn't, because I was checking for traffic coming up behing me. ABS kicked in, and I slid right into her. Law says it's my fault, since I was the rammer, nothin' I can do about that.

    Check out the map.
The red line is my route. The green line is less than 1000ft from the onramp where the red line stops, to the offramp where the blue line starts. You also can't see the interstate from the red line until you are in the green line. So in the green line you have people who want on the interstate mixed with people who want off the interstate. And, due to the fact that they BLEW it in planning this whole ensemble, it cannot be adjusted due to all the commercial bull down there, and the railroad tracks, and the streams that run on both sides. So yea, wrecks happen all the time, and Friday was my turn. [IMG]

take Haines down to Mount Rose and get on at mile marker 18 by the KMart. Cannot possibly be more of a hassle than fighting that couple hundred yards of clusterf...reeway every day.

That would net me an extra 30 minutes at 5pm. about a 1/4 mile before the red line appears on the map is where I work. I know another way that is just a couple minutes longer than the route that's outlined. Just gonna take that from now on.

OBTW, occupant, you know me on a-body.net as RIPBARNBURNER. How ya doin, lol

Been close ! Sadly the cars ahead usually could have pulled out.
On the other hand I hate those drivers who merge slowly in front of me then creap along. Most have no idea what MERGE means !:49:
And here in Florida not many know what that short lever near the tilt lever is for.

Nope.. In Upstate NY Merge means:
1)Speed up to 10mph over what you want to do once you're on the highway and just slam out into traffic without looking because traffic is supposed to yield to merging traffic. Then a)slow down drastically to the speed you want to do so people have to swerve around you to avoid hitting. Or b)shoot straight from the merge lane to the left lane without looking

    Or

2)Get on the bumper of the car in front of you and form a 7+ car long chain of vehicles all 12 inches between bumpers and all just shove out at once into heavy 65+ rush hour traffic @ 35 without looking to see if there's room.. again highway traffic is supposed to yield.. merging traffic doesn't need to look for safe openings
