Brake partz GOOD SHOW ROB. Now look close at those brake shoes before you exchange 'um. Two different MFG-Suppliers those years. There might be a spring hanger pin on the rear shoes that you might just wanna save! Drives out from the other side with one good hammer blow! A lot of parts stores counter dudez give you that "don't bother me I'm in ah coma" look if you ask 'um for those pins and the rebuilders will never miss it Carfull when you disconnect those hard lines from the brake cylinders too, That can ba ah PITA,. The hard work iz done, Jer
Thanks, it was tough and if its the toughest part of the car then I will be just fine with it , but we all know its just starting, believe it or not i checked at the local auotpoarts store and every single part of the brakes is available and in stock locally, they even had 2 new drums!!!!!! looking forward now to getting under the hood so i can hear this sled rumble!!!!
I'm glad that it worked out good. The best part has begun! To hear the engine run always gives a kick. Have you downloaded the 65 service manual already? Look earlier reply.
Enjoying this thread, glad you got those drums off. Rob, how bout adding some to the discussion of different projects on this historically significant wagon? I can remember seeing mid 60's Chrysler brake systems but not all the members were there and involved with them, lol. Would add more fun to the forum. Keep the reports coming!
