Hi all, I'm new to the forum, but not new to wagons. During high school, my dad gave me the family 59 ford wagon for transportation. I was a drummer in a rock band and the wagon fit the bill. I have always wanted to duplicate the wagon and recently the opportunity came up and I took it. I'm rebuilding a 59 Ford Ranch Wagon. 351c motor and an AOD tranny. Great to be here.
59fordwagon to the forum. Great choice of wagons and the memories will keep you interested in fixing it up.
About time we had a '59 here! Gotta bring balance back to the force somehow... Welcome to the forum! And I agree, we need pics!
Glad you found the forums. I can't remember ever seeing a 59 wagon at a car event. Pictures would be great.
Pics of my 59 ford wagon Glad to see some interest in my wagon. Most of my hot rod friends think I'm a little off. So far I've completed the rear of the wagon; new brakes and lines, rebuilt rearend 3.50 gears, new gas tank and lines, rebuilt springs, shocks etc.. The bigest tackle is the front end. Seems the last owner used the wagon as a plow. Anyway, I'll post pic's as I go.

I recently watched the pilot episode of the old Crime Story(1986) tv show with the 59 Ford cop cars bobbing and weaving down the early interstate in Chicago. Pretty cool!
Welcome to the "???station wagon???" group. I'm fortunate that a very vocal member of our club, one of the co-founders, is a wagon person as well (on the Forums as CS54) and the club is open to anything, so not much for harrassment. Same goes for the area we live in, with so much camping and ocean beaches to enjoy, wagons are a natural. That said, we do get the look from time to time from people who wonder why anyone would spend money on just a wagon. I feel badly for those folks. They don't know what fun they are missing.
