    welcome to the wagon train

:Welcome: Have seen a few of these Cougar wagons in the past. Usually down that long haul thru history past. That color green and with woodie on them. Have thought it would be nice to have one. My family used to have a 74 LTD Brougham with a 400. You can probably expect mpg's from 10 to 15, on a good, after a comprehensive tune-up. It's going to come with plenty of zoom, even on a bad day. But, being a Cougar, it's going to come with Lincoln Continental/Town Car suspension. If all that's in good shape, you'll roll down the road like you're hydroplaning. In a good way... Welcome to The Club. And keep the wagon rollin'.:1st:

    Welcome to the forum, sllew.

Thanks for posting up the pics of your Cougar Villager.
I just checked a '77 Cougar brochure, and it states the woodgrain trim was standard. Yours doesn't look like it ever had any to begin with. I've never seen one that came without wood.......

Feel free to join in on any of our discussions and left turns.......

I have never ever seen a Cougar wagon. That looks great. A guy I met 8-9 years ago had a Cougar that was in tip top shape, everything original from his neighbor who forgot she had it in the garage since she stopped driving. Needless to say he got it cheap and it looked great. Cougars have always looked good but I have never been in the market at the same time as them.

    Great find.

thanks for all the welcomes everybody, it's great to find other wagon lovers, I was wondering though should i stick with the 14" tires that are on there or upsize? Any thoughts on this?
