Wagons aside... if you could have a good utilitarian 2nd ride .... what would it be?

Me, personally? I like a good ol' basic sedan.. 4 door, V8, auto... Just a good basic solid car....

Something like a '84 - '85 Buick Lasabre? Late 70's, early 80's g.m.... whatever.. lots of good stuff out there.. and most of them seemed to have a wagon counter part too.

So anyway... back to question.. 2nd car of choice.. think good basic usable transport.. what would it be?

'69 Mustang Mach 1 of course!
4 speed 4bbl 390 sans air, styled steel wheels and the decor interior.
never cared for the center console but I do like the rear wing for some reason.

Little mixed up by the question..
Why do we have to consider 'utility' if we already have a wagon?

If we're strictly talking a sedan.......

Utility is in the eye of the beholder. I'd like to have a new Mustang convertible - even the V6 gets 30+ mpg and has over 300 hp on tap. Maybe a new Jeep - something that can get topless!:yup:

    Hey, Fannie...

Another "mixed marriage", I see. Just the opposite here, she's Chevy, I'm Ford (although I do have a soft spot for old Buicks...). Since she doesn't drive, we have a Mustang.

Second vehicle? I'm not sure about the 'utility' of something 60 years old...but I'd want a '50's Willys pickup 4WD.
