    No pics.

    However, this is the report:
    - found all 4 power window armrests, fantastical!
    - found a roof rack with the wind-diverter
    - snagged the metal panel under the rear window.
    - grabbed the moulding piece i was missing

Those were really the main parts i was looking for.

The guys at Vick's were helpful and very affordable. I got a tour of some of the older wrecks...very cool.

    Overall a great experience.

They had some 55-57 chevy belair wagon husks...those were cool. I think Vick's is best for getting odd little parts here and there. Many of the parts will require some repair. Not a place to get a perfect used door for an older wagon.

Hillbilly wasn't kidding about the need for a machette...briars are all over...

Many of the older cars are stacked -- which makes finding roof parts hard.

it was a nice experience, a 3.5 hour drive there, 2 hours of XXXXing with cars trying to get parts off, and then a 3.5 hour drive back. Then the following day: 9 hours fixing up a bathroom. Welcome to my weekend...

I usually go just a few times a year. It's about a hour's drive for me to get there. I first found them around 1994 or so when I was restoring a 70 Monte Carlo. They opened in the late 80's and started getting in cars and trucks. A couple of years back they bought 150+ cars from another place that was closing down. So many of these cars had already sat for a few decades before they found their way to Vic's. He never has sent anything to the crusher eventhough there's some in there that really have nothing really useful on them. You'll walk through saying to yourself "I remember seeing one of these on the roads" a whole bunch of times.
