The attached photo shows the hubcaps that are on my Ford. I don't believe these are the correct caps for my car. What I'd like to know though, is what car do they belong on? I haven't been able to find a photo of a car with this type yet. Any ideas?

I have sold a lot of hubcaps over the years and always had trouble identifying some of them. I found a site "hubcaps.org" that has pictures of hundreds of caps and you can usually find an answer there. Hope this helps.

They look a lot like my 1969 Thunderbird hubbys.
I am going from a 20 year old memory but if memory serves me correct they are Thunderbird. ( And they are very heavy)

Thanks! I did find them and apparently they are correct, at least I think so anyway. The caps are for a '68 - '73 Galaxie. My car is a Galaxie 500 Country Sedan. I'm not sure if that is correct either but my car is marked Country Sedan on the quarter panels, and on the interior is galaxie 500. So I guess I don't have to change the caps to be correct.

Those wheel covers were optional on full size Fords from 68-72 and were optional on T-Birds in some of those years and possibly standard on T-Bird during part of that time. There may have been changes in the center cap over the years. I believe the same wheel cover with a different center was also used on 68-69 Lincolns.

I have seen them on 1971-'72 Grande' Mustangs as well. With Mustang center cap of course. I agree, those are Ford optional caps and correct for that Wagon!
