Found this, dunno how accurate it is though:

    http://www.angelfire.com/ny2/96transam/rpocodes.html

Here's some of the info I was looking for about my car:

    Differential:
    GW9 : AXLE REAR, 2.93 RATIO
    Trans:
MW9 : TRANSMISSION, AUTO 4 SPD, THM 200, CONV CLUTCH (Why did they put such a terrible trans in these?)
    Interior color:
66D : TRIM COMBINATION, CLOTH, MED BEECHWOOD (D)

And a few codes I can't seen to identify:

    E7Z
    1QD (Might be 1CD, or 1GD)
    N30
    ZC2
    1SZ : ???
    11U
    6PA
    7PL
    8DX
    9DX

And, some that make no sense:

U39 : CLUSTER, INST, OIL, COOL TEMP, VOLTS, TRIP ODOM (Where are these magic gauges?)
U75 : ANTENNA, POWER, RADIO - That makes sense
V73 : ANTENNA, FIXED - That, does not...

And some which I am unsure of:

    1SC : PACKAGE, OPTION 03

Pic of my RPO codes, here:

I got a huge list one from somewhere online. It's been since 2007 since I added to my list. But here's what mine shows. Sometimes when the codes aren't clear, you can figure it out since they always print them in the same order. Letters before numbers. If your car doesn't have some of these options, you have to consider where the sticker is. For example, on my Celebrity sedan, the sticker is on the spare tire cover which is just glorified cardboard. Gets rotten and broken easily and could have easily been replaced with one from another car.

Looks like your car was pretty loaded. If yours has the basic gauge package, maybe the cluster broke and all someone could find was the basic gauge package to plop in.

Forgot to mention, the car in question is a 1989 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser

Anyway, I didn't know they offered a "Premium" gauge package for these cars. It does seem pretty loaded. I can think of only a few features I haven't seen on this car. The only features I know if it doesn't have is the dashboard clock / digital trip meter, and the digital gauge set.

As for the sticker, it's on the lid for the rear "Trunk", which is almost impossible to replace. I know it hasn't been replaced.

Here's another photo where you can kind of see it's location. The piece it is on is not cardboard, nor plastic, but steel riveted into the car. As I said, forgot to mention it's a '89 Custom Cruiser. This thing has all the options listed, except the strange gauge cluster.

Can't really see it for the sun glare, but it's to the right of the third seat/trunk lid.

Thanks for filling in a few blanks, now I also know where my car was made.

Last question, what's up with my rear view mirror having some kind of distance proximity system?
