Damn brother, you have your work cut out for you. Never would think its the same car on the outside. I have 10000000% faith in you, she is just stunning looking for the exterior, the inside will be just as nice.

Don't you wish you could go back in time, walk up to the design team, ask them the color interiors they intend to produce, when they say "Green", kick them square in the nuts and say, now what was that color, when they groan," Green" again, kick him square in the nuts again and say, "I didnt hear you, you said Black, right?" Ofcourse, I would do the same for Red and Blue, especially for leather interiors. Black, Tan, Chocolate, Light Grey, Dark Grey. That will cover exterior color produced, any other color, kick them square in the nutz until they agree.

Thanks Scott! Yeah I have been scratching my head on the interior for a while now with a "where do I begin?" vibe going on. Now I am absolutely determined to get it done right. Already purchased sound deadener, carpet and vinyl dye. Yee Haaa!

Black buckets up front, Grant wheel...bye bye...replaced by billet, steel rolled and smothed dash that blends with a center console..etc..etc...more to come.

Never realized how hideous the green interior was until I posted these pics.

Mostly black Scott with some polished aluminum goodies here and there, probably won't be any green inside.

I would like to see that car with NO green except where it is right now. It pops the car and would dilute it if you carried anywhere else IMO. I would like to see the interior done however you want but in black vinyl.

I think you hit the nail on the head Fox, the NO green plan is in full effect, and vinyl is the sleek look I want to match the outside. I will probably end up wrapping those back seats and making them front seats. The back seat may end up being a low back version that only goes as high as the cargo surface...

That green really is hideous, I'm so glad to hear that you agree. will you go back to a rear bench? I can see the inside in a light camel color (not grey, not tan or taupe, not tweed)
Mopar used a very nice color similar to what I'm thinking, well into the 70's, certainly the year of your car. Maybe black on the doors, rear cargo surfaces and upper dash for ease with the tan seats and carpet, then two tone the doors with matching tan carpet on the bottom and tan paint on the lower dash? Just brainstorming to throw out ideas...

You know last night I was thinking about something like that in the middle of the seats and accents in different places, maybe on the door panels and dash just to soften up black a little bit. Not neccessarily a bench in the back but maybe some contoured custom split bench style low backs with an arm rest in the middle.

These are REALLY nice( money being no object;)) with a little green(same as the outside) top stitching...

042.jpg kinda mates your door panels.

With the same thought in mind, would you consider padding the dash, just the top?

    038.jpg

[IMG] This is the top stitching I'm thinking about, only green.

Below the wood insert on the dash, maybe a little brushed metal, with a charcoal below that maybe on the glove, as in this picture?

    interior1.jpg

It would be kinda cool to paint the needles on your gauges the same shade of green...money being no object...:)
