Hello everyone. I just purchased a "barn find" 1963 Ford Fairlane Country Squire Wagon. It was a 1 owner owned by a, "little old lady" who passed away 30 years ago. It has 96,000 original miles. Any ideas where I can get a new set of "faux" wood stickers for the car?
Loved those '63 Fairlane Squires. Looked like a 7/8ths big Squire. As to the woodgrain Di-Noc, you'll have to do some research (here - http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=28 , and other places ). From what we have found, the original stuff isn't made anymore. There are alternatives, but you probably won't find an exact match. Welcome to the forum... Marshall
to the forum. First thing ya gotta do is post some photos of the wagon and the barn! Not so much the barn. Clean that wagon up and enjoy it for awhile. Then decide if you want to make it pre barn find or a mild custom. In this day and age it's getting difficult to restore any vehicle original without breaking the bank. By the time you get it finished gas may be $10 a gallon and anything older than 5 years could be banned. It's the American way.
Well, try not to let this ray of Florida sunshine get you down. Sounds like a great fine. Does it run, have you got it home yet? Let's have a look at it.
Welcome to forum! You could do what I did too, which is build it, drive it on nice days, then park it for half the year and just sit and stare at with a big smile on your face...doesn't cost much thats for sure.
