Reunion Tower, or as my kids call it at night "the Big Ball" This pic was the enterence to the old Reunion Arena parking lots...the Arena is GONE, amazing to me. I remember watching basketball games here in college and saw Billy Joel here in 1993. The new American Airlines Center killed Reunion Arena. And Cowboys Stadium in Irving is gone. Dallas sure has changed!

Ok history buffs, tell me what building that is behind the Roadmonster, and why the second-from-the-top right side window is open just a tad...

Dallas has a neat mix of old and very modern buildings. The Fountain Place glass tower is impressive!

Funny, I was thinking that there was often too much stuff in behind the wagon.

Kind of eery seeing the School Book Depository. The building was described in great detail in the Steven King book I just read. Talks about the protagonist in the book going up the stairs of the back entrance, which I assume is what's shown in your third photo. He mentioned street names, but I don't remember what they were, and don't have the book right now.

I was thinking just the other day that we haven't had a picture story from you in a while. Pretty pictures, I like to think I'll get to see these places in person, but just in case I don't it's really great that you post these for us...thanks I can sleep easy now. :)

Keep em coming. As fannie wrote, we all don't get to see all we'd like to in person.
Anyone else notice, when scrolling down fast, those buildings move? :thumbs2:
    Love that wagon of yours.

Thanks for the pictorial essay, 81. I've never been to Dallas so I had no idea of the beautiful architecture that's there. All I've ever seen is the infamous book depository. Amazing how many white Roadys there are in the big D. Seems like there was one in every pic.

Great pics, thanks for sharing. Your car is beautiful, and makes the settings that much better.

I have come to love the older architecture of cities and although I can apreciate the "modern" stuff, I do think I prefer the art deco styles of the past.

I'm glad you were able to go by the old School book depository building and visit the memorial. It's like the National WWII museum in New Orleans. You don't go to have fun. You go to remember and pay homage.

    Again, thanks for sharing.
