I saw that ad, too. If this had been sitting outside in a dry climate, it might be an easier restoration. But the way it appears to be sinking into the ground, with the weeds and trees appearing to consume it, I'm afraid rust would be extensive.

On the other hand, it might make a good parts car for the interior, if it has been sitting in the shade all of its life.

You know.. the problem is.. right now Wagons are still a great value and you can find them on the cheap. So getting motivated to haul one home that will require that amount of work just isn't there. I'd much rather work on a "running project" than have to tear one completely apart again... Like I'm doing right now with my '55 Buick. Ohhhhhh that I had the space, time and money!!!!!! :slap:

Guess I answered my question about whether or not I'll actually do it. Hopefully somebody will save it one day. :162:

I saw that ad too. It has been posted a few times on Craigslist. I would like to take a look at it, but I don't have any money, nor do I need an other fixer-upper. I sure do like that body style. BTW, I am from Maple Valley too.

i think you start by buying it and when you bring it home introduce it to your wife with its new name.....name it after your mother in law.

of course like if your mother in laws name is gertrude .... you dont wanna tell your friends you you spent the weekend in your garage banging on gertrude ... or pumping gertrude hard while turning her over till she roared......

The $3100 T&C in Houston is so much a better deal. I'd like to see more pictures of it but if it's as nice as it looks someone needs to jump on it.
