He hit the BIN and paid overnight when I was sleeping. I woke up, checked everything over, his address was valid, he had 40 some positive feedback.

#1 US tracking of any kind does not work once it leaves the USA, whoever tells you that is full of piss and wind. I was engaged to a post master once, I think she would know her job better than anyone would. They tell you its good to make the sale, but its useless, even if traveling into Canada. The ONLY international form of tracking is the customs form and thats if the country that receives it has up to date system that will update it for viewing! Insurance is also useless on anything shipped internationally. Doubt me, go ask any honest postal worker.

Yes, everything was included in the sale, even the shipping was set per country buy the exact dimensions and exact weight of the box. IF I actually got the money and was not robbed, because he filed a false claim saying he never received the package, which he did and I proved with a printed out copy that I both scanned and emailed as well as mailed a file with all the documents.

So yes, I have every right to complain about the intital $600+ investment. He got it for free! I would not be complaining of the initial investment, if I actually saw the BIN selling price. But I didn't, well I did for 3 weeks, then they pulled it from my bank acct. But since he got the thing for free and I even had to pay the shipping for him, because they found the claim in his favor. So yeah, I can complain that I am out $600 + Fees + Shipping + the cost of mailing PayPal the documents proving it was shipped and received.

I have 478 feedback, not a single negative or neutral, EVER. 322 of those are from sales. I cover my bases and this guy was one of the lucky con men. His ID is no longer valid on eBay, he terminated his account right after he gained his refund. I could not even leave him bad feedback, because sellers(at the time anyway) cannot leave anything but positive or neutral feedback for a buyer. Likely to start a new one and con others. As I said, PayPal as well as eBay, protect the buyer more then the sellers. So tell me, how did I set myself up to be reeled in?

 

Oh wow, thats totally messed up brother. I hope they get everything fixed for ya. Plastic money is getting more of a risk then its worth. I admit, I spend less money if i don't have any cash onhand and only have my card, but wow, these crooks are getting too good at thieving from good honest people.

One time I had a package show up at my door. It was a kids outfit from a store in Great Britain that I had never heard of. I never ordered it but it was ordered in my name. They said it was ordered by email, and I never got any confirmations that "I" ordered it, but they refused to give out the email that it originated from. I'm pretty sure I know who it was, the only person who would know my old email and would have seen my CC#. And she loved my kid who the outfit would have fit. Was someone I went out for awhile and when she was with me she used her ex's info to dial in and get free internet everyday. The bank canceled the card and got my money back for the purchase but made me spend my own money to ship it back across the pond, so I still lost like $36. Haven't had any problems after that though.

I thought long ago that if my card fell out and got lost (and found by someone) it'd be a pretty much free ride. You can buy gas without signing for it. Drive a motorhome and there's your transportation, electricity, and heat. And most places these days don't ask you to sign unless it's over $20 or so. If one was smart about it, they could easily go on without getting caught. On top of that, I don't sign my cards either but it's been easily less than 1 time out of 100 that I've ever been asked for ID anyway. Hell, there's a gal I work with who brags about signing her purchases as Mickey Mouse and other BS and nobody ever looks or cares.

 

Long as you follow all the safety steps with both ebay and paypal they put in place to protect you. Ive never lost money.

Though I do always call and talk to them, they can almost instantly fix it as allot of the system is automated and you wait on computers to it.

 

Oh I have NEVER had a problem with Paypal at all, my whining was just whining you guys are like my therapists. So can I talk about my childhood now...?

I'm not a big fan of gift cards. Scammers can use the numbers off them online to buy stuff, don't need to have the actual card just the number.
My sister gave Nelson a gift card for Future Shop one year for Christmas. They both lived in NS, the card was purchased in NS, but was spent on line from BC.
All you need is the sequence of numbers and start checking on line to see if the card has been activated, then start shopping.

thats why pre paid cell phone places are dropping the top up cards you buy in the store.

 

Say what you will about paypal, but they pissed me off royally. I had a bank account at washington Mutual and used my credit card I had with them to buy things on ebay through paypal. When the great collapse hit, Washington Mutual was gobbled up by Chase. I hate Chase ... so I closed my account and switched banks to Us bank. Us bank took over my credit card I had with WAMU and it was great. Until I wanted to buy something on ebay. I called Paypal and told them what happened, about wamu going under and wanted to switch my credit card. They told me I had to get a statement from wamu that that credit card was no longer good , fax it to them and wait up to 8 weeks for them to remove it from their system. I was angry about this, so mad that the only way to use paypal was to go create another email account and resign up with them. Ever since then I hate dealing with paypal.
