Without telling your age, what is the lowest price for gasoline that you remember?

For me it's 29.9 I remember paying that amount driving from Mohawk, NY to Albany to see my wife of 38 years before we were married. I still didn't tell my age, but there are a couple of clues. :29:

With out giving out the number that almost everyone knows to be my age... The lowest gas price I can remember is 82.9 cents a gallon. If we had even twice that amount now a gas guzzler would be such a problem to own.

Lowest I can remember is $0.629 a gallon.

Lowest I paid to put in my own car was $1.129 a gallon and my Newport spokes were $1.18 a pack.

Now in NY gas is $3.619 a gallon in the town where I grew up and Newports cost $11.89 a pack.

Highest I paid is $4.483 a gallon for gas (tho it is 99 -108 octane rated) and that is here in the Philippines, where many people live on making the minimum wage of $6.89 a day. That's why over 80% of the people here use public transportation or ride these little girl sized 150cc and under 130mpg motorcycles.

36.5 cents Canadian, when our buck was worth 62 cents US. Supertest and Fina stations across the street. Why does it hurt so much, when I now pay almost $6.00 per Canadian gallon? :taz::taz::rofl2:

18.9 cents at the Consumer station on highway 71 in Springdale, Arkansas in 1971. Most days gas was 22.9 and the Shell station was always 32.9.

When gas shot up to 55.9 in 1976 it about bankrupt me. I was driving the 73 Gran Torino wagon then, in Jacksonville, Florida. We sold that car not to much longer after that and got a 74 Mustang II with the 2.8 liter V6 and four speed. Much better gas mileage.

I do remember when gas first hit $1. It seems so long ago now. 1994 here in California.

I remember when gas was a 1.21 a gallon. This was back in the early 80's. I have a gas pump in my garage that last pumped a gallon of gas for 35.9. Those were the days!

Lowest I can remember was .69 cents a gallon. I also remember a short time later my Dad throwing an absolute hissey over .75 cents a gallon. If he were alive today he would be probably driving a potato powered car or something. :rofl2:

Well.....I have a lot of young experience so don't go speculating and adding even more years onto this tired 'ol body!:biglaugh: My dad had a gas station when I was born and up through 1966 or so. Of course, I remember going to his station when I was a very little kid and I remember the gas wars when prices would drop by a dime or more over night. I would always look at the pump when my dad would be pumping gas and the cheapest I think I ever remember is 14 cents a gallon. I also remember his first gas station had the old glass gravity hand pump.:yup:

Well, old dudes, the cheapest I ever remember was $3.37.9 a few weeks ago before it went up to $3.61.9 and maybe more today.:banghead3:

Okay, I worked in a station that had only 100 octain and it was 29.9 sometimes. Cheapest I remember any gas was around 19.9 but I was still in my mommies womb!:rofl2:

Moved to Florida in 1994 and complained because it was near $1 for regular.

Now I fill up once a month when I can get a payday loan!:rofl2: Last fill with water was over $89.00.

I always use the 1/2 tank method. $42 is a whole lot easier to stomach than $80. Phsycologically it's so much better even if I have to go in once a week.:tiphat:

Cheapest I remember (and bought) was about 90 cents a gallon. That was back when I was in college, around 1994-1996. I usually hovered around $1 back then.

Around 2000 or so when it started getting around the $1.40 range I remember my friend griping about it. It wasn't really affecting me then. The day before 9/11 it was $1.899. Since 9/11 we have never seen gas below $2. Last time I saw it below $3 was a little over a year ago, and will probably never see it there again.

I'm from central Illinois. It was always cheaper in Iowa than most other boardering states. Gas was something we never even thought about till the 90's.
Siverfox stop typing when I do! I find getting older is costing us more. never had doctor and hospital bills much before. I can't afford to die!
