1987 model, last of the American Motors iron and wine, luxury in the middle of nowhere... However she has been gone a good many years. So from which end do we start. Perhaps the first one, which was not the Jeep. 1968 VW Squareback (last year small tails) 1981 Pontiac Grand LeMans Safari wagon (last of LeMans wagons) 1995 Mercury Tracer wagon (last year of that awesome nail polish pink pearl paint, I can only hope...) And of course the the beast I began with, the last year of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer as an AMC product. Alas the kids are grown and there is little need for a box but I have secretly been looking for a cheap enough hearse to keep the neighbors wondering. The wife and I both drive Mazda Miatas because I like 'em and she loves me so she puts up with it. Don't know how often I'll be in but I do love a good wagon, evidently all kinds 'end of the liners' it would seem, perhaps I'll post a couple pics of the present rides so I can soak in all the 'cute car' comments I so love hearing. Being six four, two fifteen and bald as a cue ball, most of the live ones I get are usually said quietly under ones breath but I don't mind. It's kinda cute.
Hey smallwhitecar guy, interesting assortment of wagons in your history...all end on the liners...you must tough on them, are yah? They're getting harder to find, perhaps you should stay with your Mazada. to the forums, you don't need a wagon to enjoy the joint...
big guy in the small white car..............Some how old timey circus car and clowns comes to mind. But I have strange visions in my little brain. Glad you joined us. Hope you find a wagon and fall in love with it.
Welcome SWC! If a wagoneer qualifies as a wagon, they dern well better take in my Trooper, lol! (Just kidding!)
Ooooo Whitter/ LaHabra / LaMirada resident....... Grand Wagoneer? Well, it's got 'wagon' in the name! Welcome to the forum! Marshall (OC escapee....)
I think of the wagoneer more as an SUV as it's real close to the Cherokee. However, when you look at the older ones.. they do look and feel more like a wagon.. so what the heck.. I dunno.. Also the Willies wagons.. I consider wagons.. would sure like to see somebody who has restored one of those. There always seems to be a ton of those for sale in "project condition". Would be fun to pick one up and put it on an S10 chassis... Sorry.. I'm getting off thread... my bad.
